Heating System Work Across Five Radiators

A lettings agent contacted us to carry out heating work at one of the properties they manage, with five radiators requiring attention as part of the job.

Once the radiator work was completed, the full central heating system needed to be refilled, checked and tested to make sure everything was operating correctly before the property was handed back.

The Client

The client was a lettings agent responsible for managing the property and arranging the required plumbing and heating work.

They needed the work completed properly and the heating system left fully operational for continued use of the property.

The Goal

The aim was to complete the required work across five radiators and then restore the central heating system to normal operation.

The full system also needed to be refilled and tested so we could confirm the radiators and heating system were working correctly.

How We Did It

Step 1 — Assessing the Heating System

We began by checking the heating system and the five radiator positions involved in the work.

This allowed us to understand the existing pipework and make sure the radiator work could be completed correctly before refilling the system.

Step 2 — Completing the Radiator Work

We carried out the required work across all five radiators, connecting them correctly into the property's central heating system.

Each radiator and its connections were checked as the work progressed so the system was ready to be refilled once all five were complete.

Step 3 — Refilling and Testing the System

Once the radiator work was complete, the full central heating system was refilled and brought back up to operating pressure.

We then tested the system and checked the radiators to confirm they were heating correctly and that the completed connections were sound.

After the system had been refilled, we ran the heating and checked the completed installation under normal operating conditions.

The radiators were checked to make sure they were heating correctly and the system was inspected for leaks or other issues before the work was signed off.

The Results

The work across all five radiators was completed and the property's central heating system was successfully returned to operation.

Following the work, the entire heating system was refilled and tested rather than simply checking the individual radiator connections.

This allowed us to confirm that the system was operating correctly as a whole and that the radiators were heating as expected.

The lettings agent was left with a working heating system ready for continued use within the managed property.
