Full Bathroom Installation From Strip-Out to Final Fit
Transforming the Bathroom From an Empty Room to a Finished Suite
A homeowner contacted us to carry out a complete bathroom installation, taking the project from the initial strip-out through to the finished bathroom.
The work involved removing the existing bathroom, completing the first-fix water and waste pipework, altering the soil pipe where required and then fitting the new bathroom suite alongside wall cladding and new flooring.
How We Did It
Step 1 — Stripping Out the Existing Bathroom
We began by removing the existing bathroom suite and stripping the room back ready for the new installation.
This gave us clear access to the existing water, waste and soil pipework so the new plumbing layout could be prepared correctly.
Step 2 — First-Fix Pipework and Soil Pipe
With the old bathroom removed, we installed and altered the first-fix pipework required for the new bathroom layout.
The soil and waste pipework was also prepared so the toilet, basin and other bathroom fittings could be connected correctly during the final installation.
Step 3 — Cladding, Flooring and Final Installation
Once the first-fix plumbing was complete, the walls were clad and the new bathroom flooring installed to create the finished surfaces.
We then fitted and connected the bathroom suite, completing the final plumbing work and checking each fitting before the room was handed back to the homeowner.
The Work
Complete Bathroom Strip-Out
The project started with the removal of the existing bathroom suite and associated fittings, leaving the room ready for the new installation.
Stripping the room back also meant we could access the existing plumbing properly and make the necessary changes before any of the new finishes were installed.
Preparing the New Plumbing Layout
We completed the first-fix plumbing for the new bathroom, positioning the water supplies and waste connections ready for the new suite.
The soil pipe was also incorporated into the work, making sure the toilet and waste system had the correct connections before the room was closed up and finished.
Fitting the New Bathroom
With the plumbing prepared, the walls were finished with bathroom cladding and new flooring was installed to complete the main surfaces of the room.
The new bathroom suite was then fitted and connected to the prepared water and waste pipework, with the completed installation checked before the project was finished.
The Results
The original bathroom was completely stripped out and replaced with a newly installed bathroom built around updated plumbing and waste connections.
By completing the first-fix pipework and soil pipe work before installing the finishes, the new bathroom suite could be connected cleanly and correctly.
Wall cladding and new flooring completed the room, providing practical finishes designed for everyday bathroom use.
The homeowner was left with a fully finished bathroom, with the plumbing, bathroom suite and internal finishes completed as one project from start to finish.
